Terence Fixmer | Issue N° Eight
Label: Jealous God ‎– JG008
Format: Vinyl, 12", Limited Edition, CD, Mixed
Released| 22 Sep 2015

In case anyone didn't know, Karl O'Connor aka Regis, Juan Mendez aka Silent Servant, and James Ruskin run a little side label known as Jealous God. Ever since its first release back in 2013, we've been drawn to its singular approach, one that's pushed forwards by its minimalistic yet deep and textural sound. After appearances from the likes of In Aeternam Vale, Broken English Club and the trio of label bosses themselves, the imprint returns with a killer barrel of tunes from France's Terence Fixmer. "Don't You See" is a odd and twisted face melter complete with dicing snares and morphed vocal samples, "Suffocate" enters a world of pain thanks to its growling low-end, while "The Traut Wire" sees Fixmer go for the electro route...the proper shit, though. There's a mixed CD of the tunes, to boot. Heavy.
